The Atonement

I have been thinking about the power of the Atonement a lot the past couple months and especially the past week. I feel like I have been on the verge of tears so often lately with family members who are dealing with illness and really hard things in life, things I can't make better for them. Then hearing about the shooting in Conneticut has just made me want to cry all over again. I am amazed at how much a heart can hurt for others. Knowing how much I hurt, even for those I don't know, I can't even imagine how much they must be hurting. Anyway, I have been struggling to put my feelings and thoughts and testimony into words. It is not one of my talents so I decided to sum it up into one simple statement.

I believe in the power of the Atonement and know that, when applied, it can heal and change and comfort all who look to Christ and put their trust in Him.

I am so grateful for the tender mercies of an all-loving Heavenly Father.

Just got these pictures back from my sister-in-law Michelle. Thank you so much for doing them for us Michelle. They turned out great! If any of you have a suggestion as to which pictures and edits to use please share. Oh, and Livi, "You're welcome." :)

I don't know what has gotten into me tonight but I just felt like putting a post on my blog for some unknown and unexpected reason. I have just been feeling so grateful for my home and my own little family today. We headed out of town for a quick visit down to Casey's parents' place in Mt. Pleasant and his sister Diana's new baby boy's baby blessing in Spanish Fork today. We got there at about 6 last night and had to leave by 2:30 this afternoon for Casey to get back to a meeting by 7 so it really was a quick trip for being 5 hours one way. Anyway, what all this babbling is leading up to is that as much as I love my family and my husband's family and going to visit and spending time with each of them and as much as I wish our stays could be longer at times I am always so grateful to come home to my own home with my 3 beautiful boys and a wonderful husband! I am so blessed! I truly have a wonderful life!
